TAG- You're It

I have been away for the longest time.. and I apologize profusely. I've been caught up reading Game of Thrones and playing the latest expansion of World of Warcraft with my boyfriend (don't judge), I've barely had time to sleep let alone think. So today, I thought I'd fill in my absence with a quick Tag I found. I think I found this on Just another Beauty Blogger's blog. Check out hers here . 1. What is the product you've wanted for the longest time?  Urban decay naked palettes and Mac lipsticks. I don't really have a reason I haven't purchased these yet. I just haven't. 2. If you had to wear only one foundation  for the rest of your life, which would it be?  Probably Rimmel London colour match foundation. It's cheap and is buildable, so I could have full coverage or just light coverage depending on how I felt that day. 3. Your house is burning  down, which product do you grab first? My cat? Honestly, I wouldn't really care about my makeup/be...

Motivational Monday- The Sun Will Come Out

Image
*Image not mine. Sourced from Google Images.* 'The sun will come out, tomorrow. So you gotta hang on, 'till tomorrow. Come what may.' Through all my childhood years, these lyrics from the song 'the sun will come out' performed in Annie, have stuck with me right up until adult hood. I'm not sure what exactly made them stick with me, as a child I never really thought much of it. Childhood me thought that of course the sun will come out tomorrow because the sun always comes up- it wasn't until I watched the movie again in my teens with my little sisters that I really understood what it meant. There are so many metaphors and meanings to this saying. Some of which are as follows: *The sun will come up- tomorrow is a new day. *No matter how much darkness there may be in your life, there will be light to break it. *There's always hope for tomorrow. *Tomorrow will always come, no matter what happens today. There are so many different meanings and metaph...

Motivational Monday; Star Light, Star Bright

Image
Whether its been a difficult day at work, school or experiencing family issues, everyone goes through a 'dark patch' in their lives at some stage. This 'dark patch' can cause you to feel down and depressed and can reap havoc on you physical and mental well being. No matter how hopeless a situation may seem, my message is to not give up on your dreams. Continue doing what you love. The people around you cannot define who you are- just because things may not be going well does not mean that you should give up. If you fail or fall, get up, dust yourself off and use that as motivation and learn from your mistakes. This 'darkness' isn't there to 'swallow' you. Rather, see this darkness as an opportunity to shine. You can achieve your goals. Don't worry if you aren't achieving exactly what you want right now. If you can manage to get up and get through your day you're already half way there. Believe in yourself. Motivation will come with time,...

Pretty in Pink; Garnier Moisture Match Goodbye Dry

Image
A little while ago I posted a Mini Beauty Haul and one of the products mentioned was my Garnier Moisture Match Goodbye Dry moisturizer (try saying that three times over). As promised, I will be reviewing each product mentioned in my haul so be sure to check out that post and let me know below what product you would like me to review next. Let me start off by saying this; this product is amazing! I don't use this every day as it is so super hydrating and I don't use it all over my face, only in the areas I need it most- namely around my nose, cheeks, chin and occasionally forehead. It has a really feminine 'sunscreen' type scent (almost fruity), which I don't mind, however the scent doesn't last long at all. The cream is a rich formula that absorbs into the skin quickly and requires very little product to be used as it spreads such a long way. Whilst it makes my skin feel amazing, it does leave my hands feeling a little greasy, so I suggest washing your hands ...

15 Random Questions Tag..

Hello my lovelies! This morning I woke up to a wonderful surprise- I have reached 50 followers on blogger! (thats not including all my lovely followers on bloglovin and google+, but I thought 50 followers on the one site was pretty awesome) I know to some this may not be a lot, but this is super exciting to me and I am so grateful to each and every one of you. I do have more reviews coming- I just haven't got around to taking pictures yet (my bad.) so today I decided to do a quick tag for you guys so you can get to know me a little better. 1. Whats a nickname only your family calls you? E.B is the most common, but I also get Elmo and Elly-boo (yay for corny nicknames). 2. Whats a weird habit of yours? I have quite a few, but one of the worst ones is probably eating the bun and patty seperately when I get a Maccas cheeseburger (and I honestly don't know why). 3. Do you have any weird phobias? I used to be afraid of trucks and the thought of having my toe nails ripped ou...

Motivational Monday; Comfort Zone

Image
Photo from Google Images I'm encouraging you all to do one of the hardest thing a person can do- to take a step out of your comfort zone. Why? Because stepping out of my comfort zone opened my eyes to a whole new world I just didn't see. I've always been shy and lacked the confidence to do basically everything. I've worried too much on what people thought of me and how I would be judged and ridiculed and, even worse, I was terrified of failure. About half way through this year (2014), I decided I had had enough. Keeping to myself, doing the same thing over and over began to take its toll and I felt miserable. So I made the choice to take up blogging, to break the ice and to try something new. I'm glad I did. Each comment and follow I received had boosted my self confidence. I got more and more excited to post and talk about my experience. I started talking to my boyfriend, my dad, step mum and best friend about blogging. I started socializing with people, asking que...

australis Velourlips Matte Lip Cream; Hon-O-Loo-Loo review

Image
It comes as no surprise to anyone that knows me that I am a HUGE fan of lip products. Naturally after hearing so much about the australis Velourlips Matte Lip Creams I HAD to get one. And I know, I'm a little bit late on the band wagon here, but I couldn't find any in store up until now. Hon-O-Loo-Loo is a gorgeous pinky/nude shade however, although the colour is gorgeous, the smell is not. I've read that quite a few like the scent, but to me it smells like an odd fruityish scent that I don't find very pleasant. The formula is smooth and glides on easily, and a little does go a long way. You really don't want to put too much of this stuff on as it can get rather messy rather quickly. That, and this stuff can't just be wiped off. To remove you either need to let time do its thing or use a makeup wipe.I find it makes my lips feel a bit sticky (a little like lip gloss or lip paint) and doesn't seem to feel as thick on my lips as other matte lip products do. It ...
